What to do nextProperties we assess
Each type of building has its own rules. We know them.
Offices
From single-room offices to multi-floor workplaces, including shared buildings with several employers.
Shops and retail
Retail units, cafés and shops with storage, including premises with flats above.
HMOs
Shared houses and bedsits, meeting both Fire Safety Order duties and council licensing expectations.
Blocks of flats
Communal areas, fire doors and escape routes, including the newer duties for residential buildings.
Holiday lets
Cottages, flats and guest accommodation, so you meet the law and your guests are safe.
Independent fire risk assessments
We don't sell fire extinguishers, alarms or remedial works, so our recommendations aren't tied to selling you additional equipment.
You get an honest view of what your building actually needs. If something is already good enough, we'll say so. If work is needed, you're free to choose any contractor you like.
Fire door inspections
Need a fire door certificate for your flat or block? No problem, we've got you covered.
We inspect communal and flat entrance doors in blocks of flats, plus fire doors in HMOs, offices and shops. When you book our fire door inspection service, you get a clear, door-by-door report with photographs and prioritised actions. As we don't sell or fit doors, our advice is always fair and independent.

What your report includes
A fire risk assessment is only useful if you can act on it. Ours are thorough enough to satisfy an inspector and clear enough for anyone to follow.
- A description of the premises, how it's used and who is at risk
- Fire hazards and how a fire could start and spread
- Escape routes, fire doors, alarms, emergency lighting and signage
- Management checks, training and records
- An overall risk rating
- A prioritised action plan in plain English, with timescales
How we rate risk
Every report gives an overall risk level, so you can see at a glance where you stand.
Based on the widely used five-level approach to fire risk rating.
